About Me – My Journey to Becoming a Coach

I was born in Germany, and like many boys, I started playing soccer at a young age. My father had played actively himself and later spent many years as a coach. In a way, I was born into the sport. I spent countless hours on the field—whether training with my club or playing with friends. Soccer was my passion, and I was driven to improve.

However, around the age of 14, I lost interest and discovered breakdancing instead. Together with my crew, we trained every free minute. The sport changed, but my passion remained. Since I was very skinny at the time, I started lifting weights on the side to gain strength. I devoured every piece of information I could find on the topic—I read, researched, discussed, and experimented to see what worked.

At 16, I was finally allowed to train at a gym. Before that, I had been working out at home with friends using a bench and some weights. But once I was in the gym, I could structure my training properly, track my calories, and apply everything I had learned. The result: within a year, I gained over 10 kg of muscle mass—strength training had become my new passion.

83kg to 70kg Difference after bodybuilding and before mma fight

At 19, I hit another turning point. I initially wanted to box just twice a week as a side activity, but soon, combat sports became my main focus. I trained more and more, stopped trying to gain muscle, and lost about 7 kg in the first year—but I didn’t care. I was fully immersed in the sport. After several fights, I decided to transition into MMA. Every evening, I drove at least 30 km to train and took every opportunity to improve.

My goal was clear: I wanted to turn my passion into my profession. Even back then, I loved coaching others, writing training programs, and watching people progress. After a few detours, I eventually pursued a physiotherapy degree and earned multiple certifications in Strength & Conditioning, Personal Training, and Fitness.

I worked temporarily as a physiotherapist in Switzerland while traveling between Germany and Phuket. In Thailand, I trained full-time at various gyms and continuously expanded my knowledge in rehab and S&C for combat sports athletes. Alongside my own training, I helped professional fighters prepare for competitions and guided them through the return-to-sport process after injuries.

Over time, my focus shifted more and more from competing to coaching. Today, I can see how every experience along my journey has shaped me into the coach I am—and how it allows me to help my clients achieve their goals in the best possible way. My coaching blends hands-on experience with deep theoretical knowledge to optimize athletic development.

But one thing is certain: this is just the beginning. There is so much more to learn and experience. I see myself as a lifelong student—constantly searching for new knowledge, better methods, and innovative ways to support my clients. The journey never stops, and that’s what excites me the most.

I’m excited to see where this path will take me—big goals, big plans ahead.

Let’s go!

Your Coach,
Fabi
